On September 6, 1995, Cal Ripken, Jr. played in his 2131st consecutive game, breaking Lou Gehrig's "unbreakable" record of consecutive games played.  2131 games translates to over 13 seasons without missing a day of work, 13 seasons of preparation and dedication, and 13 seasons of commitment and excellence on the field.

But, Cal Ripken, Jr.'s dedication and excellence did not stop there.  He went above and beyond expectations, playing every day and every game for another 500 games -- or almost 25% more games than the longstanding, heretofore unbreakable record set by Lou Gehrig.  Cal Ripken, Jr. eventually played in 2632 consecutive games -- every game from May 1982 through September 1998 -- over 16 years.

To put the streak in perspective, the current active consecutive games streak is about 300.  Different times, different philosophies on the benefits of a day off, different perceptions of team versus individual -- for whatever reason, this streak will never be broken.  Our firm name was selected to celebrate a historical feat, a historical demonstration of prolonged preparation and dedication, and a historical commitment to excellence -- every day.
